In 2010, Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. (Enbridge) (www.enbridgegas.com) retained ORTECH Consulting Inc, in conjunction with Howe Gastmeier Chapnik Limited, to prepare an application for an Air Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) with Limited Operational Flexibility (previously called a Basic Comprehensive Certificate of Approval (Air & Noise))  for all stationary sources of air emissions from Enbridge facilities in Ontario, encompassing all previously unapproved sources of air emissions and consolidating all existing approvals. The application included Emission Summary and Dispersion Modelling (ESDM) Reports and Acoustic Assessment (AA) Reports for each site. Proposal and Decision notices were posted on the Environmental Registry for the application, under EBR registry number 011-5500.
